How to add me to your Google Business Profile (GMB) so I can do an audit

Before you start

Log in to the same Google account where you have a business on Google (the one that sees the profile in Maps).

Don't give me any passwords. Seriously. Leave the passwords for Netflix.

Computer-based instruction (fastest)

Step 1: Open the company profile settings

  • Go to Google and type in the name of your company.
  • On the right you will see your company panel (profile).
  • Click the three dots or the profile management option.
  • Go to Business Profile settings.

Step 2: Go to „People and access”

  • Under Business Profile settings, click on People and access.

Step 3: Add me

Click Add.

  • In the Add person window, in the Email field, type: handlopolis@gmail.com
  • Choose a role:
  • Manager (recommended for audit and revision)
  • Owner only if you want to give me full rights (usually there is no need)
  • Click Invite.
  • Done. You send an invitation and that's it.

Instruction via Google Maps (phone or computer)

  • Open Google Maps.
  • Go to your company profile (usually: „Your Business” / „Your Business Profiles”).
  • Open the Business Profile settings.
  • Enter People and access.
  • Click Add.
  • Enter handlopolis@gmail.com
  • Select Manager.
  • Click Invite.

What's next

  1. I get the invitation email and accept access.
  2. I do a profile analysis and get back to you with a list of things to improve (or we improve straight away if we have it fixed).

How to remove me when finished (for peace of mind)

  1. Business Profile settings → People and access
  2. You click on my account (handlopolis@gmail.com)
  3. You either select Remove access or change the role.

The most common problem

You don't see „People and access”
This usually means that you do not have owner (Owner/Primary owner) rights. This must then be done by the person who owns the profile.
